Feed consumption varies depending on size of rabbit, temperature, rate of growth and genetic characteristics. Use the following table as a guide.

Full-Feeding
A quantity of feed is placed in feed hoppers troughs or rabbit-feed crock from which rabbits may cat at will. Such rabbits ate said to be IuD-fed. That is, they ate led fed they will consume each day. Growing rabbits and lactating rabbits are usually full-led.

Restricted-Feeding
Feed is placed in hoppers once or twice daily. If the quantity is less, than the full amount desired, it is considered restricted feeding. Restricted feeding is often practiced with herd bucks, dry does and young breeding stock in order to prevent animal, from becoming too fat.
